Kee Certified Nurse Practitioner 605-996-3380 Practice Hours and Appointments We try to see all patients on an appointment basis, and we request that you call in advance so that we can reserve time for you. Please call your physician's direct line. We make every effort to honor all time commitments and request that your extend the same courtesy to us. On occasion emergencies can cause problems and whenever possible you will be fully informed if there will be any delays because of this. Office hours are: Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday 8:30 a.m - 12:00 p.m. (during school year) Appointment times are: Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (during school year) Waiting Rooms We provide two waiting rooms for your convenience. Pediatrics Plus is proud to have Mitchell's only well waiting room. This waiting room is for routine well child exams, sport physicals, and anything else that is not contagious, i.e. accidents. The general waiting room is for all other visits to our facility, this is for your child's protection against colds, flu, etc. Telephone Calls All patients are encouraged to call with any questions they have on their children's medical problems. However, it would be most unfair to our patients if the doctor were to leave and answer every telephone call. "Your Baby's First Year" book does answer many questions. When calling with questions call your primary physician's direct phone number and their nurse will take your calls and discuss them with the physician in a timely manner and return your call. Please make appointments for discussion of complicated or lengthy problems. The telephone should be used only for brief discussions. After Hour Telephone Calls If you find it necessary to contact the doctor after normal office hours, please call WEE-CARE (933-2273) to get the pediatrician on call. Your call will be called back promptly or within 20 minutes. Prescriptions and Refills When you are in need of a prescription refill, please contact the pharmacy of your choice. Indicate to them your refill request; ask them to fax this request to our office. This does not include controlled drug refills such as ADD/ADHD medications. These refills still need to be picked up at the clinic and brought to your pharmacy. Fees, Payments and Insurance We make an effort to keep down the cost of your medical care. You are required to pay your copay or 20% of charges at each visit. Other arrangements can be made with our clinic manager depending upon special circumstances. Please bring your insurance card with you each visit. Our office personnel, free of charge, will file your pediatrician's hospital, emergency room, and office visit charges to your insurance company. Please remember that insurance is considered a method of reimbursing the patient for fees paid to the doctor and is not a substitute for payment. Some companies pay fixed allowance for certain procedures and others pay a percentage of the charge. It is your responsibility to pay any deductible amount, coinsurance, or any other balance not paid for by your insurance company. We know questions can arise on insurance matters and these should be discussed with our insurance clerk. We will be happy to help you receive maximum benefits; however, the agreement of the insurance company to pay for medical care is a contract between you and the company. Unless prior arrangements have been made, payment for fees is due within 60 days of discharge or a 15% finance charge is accessed to your bill.
